Sadly, our current Chair is planning to retire in September 2022, which means we are now seeking a new Chair of Trustees who can support us in our aim of helping to improve the quality of life among students and staff in local schools.

TrinityLearning is a small, church-funded charity and this is a great opportunity to work with us as we look to build on our popular and trusted existing projects, as well as identify and obtain sustainable funding so we can continue to support school communities in the Abingdon area. The Chair’s role is supported by a strong Board of Trustees as well as a small team of dedicated staff.

What has motivated our current Chair?

Our outgoing Chair, Eve Newton, explains, “My motivation for three years as Chair of Trustees is the appreciation voiced by children, staff, and carers who so clearly value TrinityLearning’s input – whether through developing students’ emotional understanding, offering them calm spaces such as quiet gardens, or increasing their confidence by providing work experience for some who might find difficulty in finding suitable placements, as well as providing creative projects now often online.

Being alongside our staff and our committed group of trustees has been an enriching experience for me with the opportunity to learn from them in many ways. Our trustee meetings are always stimulating, and we have enjoyed being together again after the inevitable Zoom meetings, – another reason for enjoying them is that we try to keep them reasonably short!”
