Our Workshop Co-ordinator Taz gives us the lowdown on all the festive fun from Carswell School’s Nativity and Carol Concert which both took place in Trinity Church.

Key Stage 1 Nativity – This year Carswell school filled Trinity Church once again. This time, the songs were new to everyone whilst the story was very familiar. The Nativity story was re-told with wonderful narrators, children, camels, Kings, stars, Angels, sheep and many more.
The front of the church was buzzing with bright colours, smiley faces and enthusiastic voices. Tom from Trinity Church did another fantastic job with the technical side of things and Nicola (TrinityLearning), Eluned (Trinity Church) and I made sure the children and teachers had everything they needed. The parents and carers who came to watch really enjoyed it and left the church feeling very happy and full of festive cheer. It was also lovely to be able to hand a flier to them as they left with the dates for the Christmas services on.

Key Stage 2 Carol Concert – A few days later, the older children performed their Carols to everyone. This year they used music from the computer and live music played on the guitars by Mr Crandon and Mr Shepherd. Some of the songs had been split into different harmonies and it sounded wonderful in the church. Year 6 pupils read some poems which were great. The parents and carers that came to watch said they thoroughly enjoyed it and wished that they could join in!
