We are delighted to announce the appointment of Katie Doney as our new TrinityLearning Chair of Trustees. Katie took up the role in September this year, replacing our outgoing Chair, Eve Newton.

Nicola Williams, TrinityLearning’s Education Development Officer said: “As Chair, Eve has played an important role in TrinityLearning, from her involvement in our transition to a charity, to her role in overseeing our work and supporting staff during the Covid 19 challenges we faced. Although she steps down as Chair, we’re very pleased that Eve will remain a Trustee. We are now moving back into schools with both new and adapted TrinityLearning projects so this is a great time to welcome Katie to the role of Chair.”

Katie has been a TrinityLearning volunteer for many years and has a great knowledge and experience of TrinityLearning and the educational aspects of our work. Her volunteering work with us has included Thinking Books, Kingfisher Singing and Prayer Spaces amongst others, as well as supporting projects such as our Bereavement Packs.

Her professional background includes nursing, work in pre-schools, a degree in Early Childhood Studies and a Master’s in Psychology.

On her new appointment as Chair, Katie said, “I am delighted to have been appointed as Chair of Trustees. I am looking forward to working with the fantastic team at TrinityLearning and becoming more familiar with the various aspects that are involved in running a charity. I am acutely aware of the many stresses that school children and staff are faced with and therefore wholeheartedly endorse the diverse and imaginative support that TrinityLearning offers to local schools.”

We are delighted to have both Katie, as well as our new Finance Trustee Pauline Main and our Board of experienced and committed Trustees overseeing our work as we continue to support local schools.
